Mr. Kam is a high school teacher at Windermere Secondary School in Vancouver, B.C., where he currently teaches Business Education 8, Information Technology 10/11 and Computer Programming 11/12. In the past, this teacher has also taught mathematics, planning, yearbook, marketing and entrepreneurship.
Mr. Kam has recently completed a Master of Educational Technology (MET) degree at the University of British Columbia. He already holds a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in secondary mathematics education and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in statistics and mathematics. His research interest includes situated learning with web 2.0 tools blended-model classrooms and gender equity in STEM subject areas, particularly mathematics and computer science.
Prior to his teaching career, Mr. Kam has been employed by a materials engineering firm and by an financial/insurance institution.
